There are various ways to complete the private and commercial theory study. Aerowasp Helicopters recommends Advanced Flight Theory (AFT) in Queensland as they provide Distance Learning Courses and full time ground school. AFT provides a study guide that recommends the best approach to studying the private and commercial licence theory.

Theory Assesments

  Private Helicopter Licence (PPLH) Exam – The PPL theory exam for the Unrestricted Licence is provided by CASA, but conducted in house and done online. This is conducted prior to your first solo flight.
Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence (CPLH) Exam - There are seven theory assesments to be completed to achieve your CPLH.These assesments are conducted externally by Assessment Services Pty Ltd (ASL) at one of their theory assesment centres. Aerowasp staff will help organise and guide students through this process  

All theory assesments need to be passed before the issue of a CPLH.
