RequirementsInstructor RatingsTo start an Instructor Rating with Aerowasp you must hold a minimum CPL(H) and logged at least 340 hours. The course comprises of 40 Hours practical flying and upwards of 90 Hours theory. Before you start this course it is a requirement that you have attended the Principals and Methods of Instruction day course which can be completed at Aerowasp. Night VFRApplicants must have a minimum private licence, 10 hours of dual flying time prior to undertaking the test which includes 5 hrs circuits and emergencies and one Navex with minimum 3 hrs duration. You will need to be qualified on at least one NavAid which is usually the ADF. Night Instructor RatingsThis is an additional course comprising of 10 hrs dual flying with a grade 1 night rated instructor. This training must be done at a school certified for instructor training. Sling RatingThis course has a duration of approximately 3hrs, comprising of general handling, emergencies, equipment, safety and general sling operations. You must hold a minimum private licence to undertake this training unless this is included in your commercial syllabus. Low Level RatingWe can conduct Low Level Approval training. This is normally a 5hr course including emergencies, general low level handling and hazards associated with low level operations. This training is conducted as part of the commercial syllabus.
Initial Gas TurbineInitial Gas Turbine is conducted in a Bell 206 Jetranger and is 5hrs duration. The course includes performance and operation of a gas turbine engine and general handling. You must hold a minimum private licence to commence training.
Float RatingThis course is approximately 3hrs duration and includes handling of the aircraft in an aquatic environment (fixed floats). The course includes starting up and shutting down procedures on the water, emergencies and general handling. You must hold a minimum private licence to commence this training. |
