This will give you the advantage of seeing first hand what it is like to fly a real Helicopter.
We would like to invite you to have a free consultation with our Cheif Flying Instructor to discuss the Course Structure, Course training fees and Flexible Payment Options. You will be given an information Package covering all aspects of the Course. (All of these documents are available from AEROWASP Pty Ltd)
- Students Pilot licence (SPL) – A Student Pilots Licence will be issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). To be issued with a SPL the candidate must complete and return the appropriate form with passport-sized photos attached. CASA will then perform all appropriate background checks and this process will usually take up to six weeks. A student must not go solo without a SPL.
- Aviation Reference Number (ARN) – An ARN application form is to be completed and returned with the SPL application to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) so the student can be issued with an ARN.
- Aviation Security Check (ASIC) – Students are required to have a Police Security Check to hold an aviation licence, so an Aviation Security Check Application form will be issue for completion. This application will be returned with the other paperwork to CASA for distribution to the appropriate authority for the required security checks.
- Aviation Medical – An aviation medical is required which a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) can only conduct. A list of local DAMEs will be issued to the student at their request. There are two classes of medical, Class One and Class Two. A Class Two medical will only meet the requirement up to a Private Licence. A Class One medical is required to exercise the privileges of a Commercial Licence (CPL) or Air Transport Licence (ATPL). It is recommended that if a student intends to train through to CPL or ATPL that they obtain a Class One medical before they make the decision to begin flight training, as they could have unknown health problem that may preclude you from being issued with a Class One medical.
