CHIEF PILOT / CHIEF FLYING INSTRUCTOR CPL(H), CPL(A)

Peter is the current Chief Pilot, Chief Flying Instructor and owner of Aerowasp Helicopters; a position he has held for over 18 years.

After leaving the Royal Australian Navy in 1992,  Peter joined the civil aviation community and has flown over 10000 hours. Endorsed in both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft he also holds Grade One Instructor Ratings for both categories’s and boasts an impressive list of qualifications and endorsements. Peter is also an Independent Approved Testing Officer.

Peter is a professional in the training environment with over 10,000 hours flying experience and has recently been the project manager for the new Australian and New Zealand instructor manual issued (V2) by CASA and CAA(NZ).

He was recently presented with the prestigious award of Master Air Pilot (MAP) by the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators (GAPAN) of London. This prestigious certificate is presented to pilots who have operated with distinction and professionalism throughout their career and is considered to be perhaps the highest level of achievement and recognition for a civilian pilot.
